Bajen's Gunnar Östman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Fransson in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Donsö's Karl-Magnus Fransson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gunnar Östman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Walroth in the 15th minute of play forced Donsö's goalkeeper Jan-Ove Brolin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunnar Östman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Fransson in the 16th minute of play. Elliot Sikström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jan-Ove Brolin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Ove Brolin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Lind in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Karl-Magnus Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Östman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match, Harry Lind tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jan-Ove Brolin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jan-Ove Brolin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliot Sikström in the 29th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Donsö's goalkeeper Jan-Ove Brolin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elliot Sikström. After some careless play in the Bajen defense, Elof Bergvall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gunnar Östman. The Bajen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunnar Östman should have stopped the shot. Karl-Magnus Fransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harry Lind stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gunnar Östman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elof Bergvall in the 54th minute. When Bajen's Elliot Sikström in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Donsö's goalie prevented a goal. In the last second Gunnar Östman throw himself and got hold of the ball when Karl-Magnus Fransson in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 72 minutes into the match, Bajen's goalkeeper Gunnar Östman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elof Bergvall. When Stig Erserman fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Donsö's protests and gave Stig Erserman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Donsö getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Stig Erserman hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Donsö's zone, Harry Lind stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Ove Brolin came out of the goal and Harry Lind tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elof Bergvall's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gunnar Östman firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 79 minutes, Holger Walroth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bajen and the Donsö players grew even worse after the yellow card. Holger Walroth hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Bajen's Gunnar Östman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Bajen from getting a goal against them. Karl-Magnus Fransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Karl-Magnus Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Donsö players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
