Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when August Rosin kicked off to start the match. August Rosin took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Botvidsson. Alex Botvidsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Hällaström was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Blomkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Rune Lönn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Stefan Ekman fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällaström's protests and gave Stefan Ekman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mellösa FK booed when Hällaström was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Ekman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Bo Dahlkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mellösa FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bo Dahlkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olov Mikaelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Mellösa FK got a freekick which was hit by Lars Ståhlman. When Bo Dahlkvist came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Mellösa FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bo Dahlkvist couldn't finish the play. Ivan Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Dahlkvist in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Sven-Erik Kråk shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Botvidsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Bengt-Rune Bivall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellösa FK's Alex Botvidsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Tage Hellström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellösa FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hällaström the free kick. In the 40th minute, Tage Hellström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, August Rosin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Hällaström were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Tage Hellström hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. August Rosin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Hällaström's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. August Rosin had several of the Mellösa FK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Alex Botvidsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Stefan Ekman was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 61 played minutes Hällaström got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Ekman. August Rosin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Rune Bivall who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Alex Botvidsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. August Rosin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alex Botvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Alex Botvidsson managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Hällaström's Bengt-Rune Bivall fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ian Fristedt's late challenge caught a Mellösa FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ian Fristedt helped the player get up and apologised. August Rosin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Botvidsson having to make a save. After having played for 94 minutes, Rune Lönn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mellösa FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rune Lönn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th match minute, Hällaström was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Blomkvist to maneuver through the defense.
