Andreas Dalkvist lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Mellösa FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nordstan FK:s goal. The goalkeeper, Alex Botvidsson, was totally fooled by Nordstan FK's Joacim Björklund, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Mellösa FK's Lars Ståhlman got a free kick in the 14th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Rune Lönn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mellösa FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rune Lönn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rune Lönn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esbjörn Qvalfeldt having to interfere. Rune Lönn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esbjörn Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Lönn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Botvidsson having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Rune Lönn made a precise shot to the right of Esbjörn Qvalfeldt. Nordstan FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 41st minute, Sune Nyström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Rune Lönn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Qvalfeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krister Ljungberg kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Karl Månsson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sten Gustafsson in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alex Botvidsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rune Lönn was the one to do the kick off. In the 57thth minute of the game Karl Månsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellösa FK's Alex Botvidsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wictor Hybbert kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Esbjörn Qvalfeldt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rune Lönn in the 60th minute. Karl Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Botvidsson having to interfere. Mellösa FK's Lars Ståhlman got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wictor Hybbert during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rune Lönns short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Esbjörn Qvalfeldt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 80th minute, Nordstan FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tage Hellström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rune Lönn got free with Esbjörn Qvalfeldt in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Rune Lönn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
