In the 38thth minute of the game Stig-Åke Pihlblad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Söderbärke BF's Tor Torstensson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 41 played minutes Söderbärke BF got a freekick which was hit by Johan Nyberg. If Stig-Åke Pihlblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torpshammar FK's Stig-Åke Pihlblad got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig-Åke Pihlblad to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Stig-Åke Pihlblad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Johan Nyberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Söderbärke BF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 65 played minutes Torpshammar FK got a freekick which was hit by Olof Groth. Söderbärke BF's Tor Torstensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Pihlblad in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Pihlblad in the 71st minute of play forced Söderbärke BF's goalkeeper Tor Torstensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joacim Söderberg shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Stig-Ove Bollström kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Stig-Åke Pihlblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Stig-Arne Söderkvist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Söderbärke BF's Tor Torstensson didn't even have to move. Söderbärke BF's Tor Torstensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Pihlblad in the 99th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Torpshammar FK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
