When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Stig-Arne Söderkvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rolf Löfdahl to make any attempt to save it. Dala-Järna's Patrik Gregersson got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolf Löfdahl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kalle Lindström's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Dala-Järna's Manfred Källberg got a free kick in the 16th minute. With his leg Rolf Löfdahl managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Torpshammar FK's Kalle Lindström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Stig-Åke Pihlblad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torpshammar FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Åke Pihlblad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolf Löfdahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the game, Stig-Åke Pihlblad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolf Löfdahl. Stig-Åke Pihlblad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 36th minute, Dala-Järna's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kalle Lindström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A hard shot 38 in the game by Kalle Lindström from a close distance when the talented Rolf Löfdahl managed to make a qualified save. Dala-Järna's players were relieved. If Kalle Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Åke Pihlblad spun around in front of the goal 43 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Dala-Järna's goal. In the 44th match minute, Dala-Järna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magnus Adelsköld to maneuver through the defense. Torpshammar FK's Kalle Lindström got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrik Gregersson made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Magnus Adelsköld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the game, Torpshammar FK's Stig-Åke Pihlblad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolf Löfdahl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Rolf Löfdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Pihlblad, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Rolf Löfdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Åke Pihlblad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stig-Åke Pihlblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Torpshammar FK's Kalle Lindström in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dala-Järna's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th minute, Magnus Adelsköld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Åke Pihlblad in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolf Löfdahl saved Dala-Järna from getting behind. Magnus Adelsköld kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Dala-Järna got a freekick which was hit by Manfred Källberg. In the 84th minute, Stig-Åke Pihlblad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Torpshammar FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 90 minutes into the game, Dala-Järna's Sven-Arne Fredriksson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claes Blomqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. A collision led to Dala-Järna getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Valdemar Bohlin hit a great ball. Torpshammar FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
