Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erik Björck started the match with the kick off. Stig-Ove Fernkvist made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Edvin Ekerot sent off a good shot on target. The Nygård IK fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Nygård IK's Sture Bruhn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Björck in the 10th minute of play forced Nygård IK's goalkeeper Stig-Ove Fernkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig-Ove Fernkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Björck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Björck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Nils-Åke Springfält hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Åshammar BK's Paul Malmström broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Stig-Ove Fernkvist was a little too slow when Erik Björck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Christian Dahlqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dennis Clementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sture Bruhn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Åshammar BK's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Bruhn came free, but Dennis Clementsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sture Bruhn in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dennis Clementsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 46 minutes, Morgan Bröms mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nygård IK and the Åshammar BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Morgan Bröms kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sture Bruhn to strike the kick off in the second half. Erik Björck struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Stig-Ove Fernkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åshammar BK. Dennis Clementsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sture Bruhn in the 64th minute of the match. Dennis Clementsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Dahlqvist in the 68th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Edvin Ekerot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åshammar BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvin Ekerot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edvin Ekerot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Stig-Ove Fernkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Dahlqvist got free with Dennis Clementsson in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edvin Ekerot scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stig-Ove Fernkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erik Björck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Ove Fernkvist having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Nygård IK's goal looked a bit too open when Edvin Ekerot came free, but Stig-Ove Fernkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Åshammar BK's goalkeeper Dennis Clementsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Åshammar BK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nygård IK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
