Nicklas Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Boström in the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Holmsjö's Tobias Hjortsberg got a free kick in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Horn's zone, Torgny Frisk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Gunnarsson came out of the goal and Torgny Frisk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Allan Björkkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holmsjö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Björkkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Jerry Viklund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holmsjö the free kick. After 26 played minutes Horn got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Viklund. Rune Gunnarsson was a little too slow when Torgny Frisk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Holmsjö's Torgny Frisk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rune Gunnarsson. That made the score 3-0 after 30 minutes of play. Torgny Frisk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rune Gunnarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Torgny Frisk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmsjö's supporters rose to their feet, but Torgny Frisk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Gunnarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Allan Björkkvist struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Rune Gunnarsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmsjö. In the 58th minute Allan Björkkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Horn booed when Holmsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torgny Frisk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holmsjö's Nicklas Österlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Siöman in the 67th minute of play. If Ted Siöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torgny Frisk in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
