In the last second Ludvig Svartengren throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jens-Ove Böcklund in the 16thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Mathias Björck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Lidberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Mathias Björck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Lidberg in the 20th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Västervik's zone, Tommy Hellbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Björck came out of the goal and Tommy Hellbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Västervik's Ludvig Svartengren threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jens-Ove Böcklund, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

In the 59th minute, Jens-Ove Böcklund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Västervik fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
