In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dals Rostock's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Ivarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kjell-Arne Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Nyberg in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Ingvar Rolfsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kjell-Arne Ivarsson skillfully saved the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Hässelby RK's goalkeeper Emanuel Grep had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arman Linberg. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dals Rostock! With an all-out effort, Dals Rostock's Emanuel Grep threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars-Erik Valler, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arman Linberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Arman Linberg made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Grep. Hässelby RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After some careless play in the Dals Rostock defense, Fredric Fredriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell-Arne Ivarsson. The Dals Rostock fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell-Arne Ivarsson should have stopped the shot. Emanuel Grep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars-Erik Valler, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Dals Rostock getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Eddie Vedholm hit a great ball. Emanuel Grep didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Rosin went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Dals Rostock's Morgan Löv got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Morgan Löv off the ground. Morgan Löv hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hässelby RK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
