To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Robin Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Hjorted's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Nordmark came free, but Bengt-Arne Valström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Arne Valström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Sjögren in the 38th minute of the match. Aaron Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Ivar Biörling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Axelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jack Nordmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jack Nordmark to make the kick off. FC Varberg's Kenneth Jelm got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jens-Åke Gustafsson scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bo Axelsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Jens-Åke Gustafsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hjorted fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Bengt-Arne Valström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Nordmark in the 63rd minute of the match. Sivert Stolpe kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Sivert Stolpe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hjorted's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Varberg the free kick. In the 67th match minute, Hjorted was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Stolpe to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Varberg booed when Hjorted was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Almqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kåre Stenström's late challenge caught a FC Varberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
