Wictor Brandt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Karl Forsell made a huge save. In the 8th match minute, Hermansby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Eliasson to maneuver through the defense. Torbjörn Svanberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Finman having to interfere. With 18 minutes on the clock, Jan Lövkvist commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Hermansby IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hede BF:s goal. In the 22nd minute Tomas Sundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Forsell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Skålberg kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Torbjörn Svanberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evert Finman. Hede BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torbjörn Svanberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Torbjörn Svanberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermansby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Torbjörn Svanberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evert Finman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Gilbert Skålberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evert Finman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjörn Svanberg in the 46th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Östen Sandberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Hermansby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Wictor Brandt came free, but Karl Forsell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Tomas Sundin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hede BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Sundin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute, Wictor Brandt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torbjörn Svanberg scored 0-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evert Finman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Torbjörn Svanberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Finman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Skålberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rdth minute of the game Tomas Sundin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermansby IF's Karl Forsell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mikael Torstensson hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Wictor Brandt scored 1-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Forsell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Hermansby IF booed when Hede BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell-Arne Hård didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kasper Eliasson hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Tomas Sundin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl Forsell was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After 88 minutes of play, Hermansby IF's Torbjörn Svanberg made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evert Finman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Karl Forsell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Sundin in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Torbjörn Svanberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Evert Finman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Hermansby IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hede BF throughout the match.
