Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Folke Mattsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Folke Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristian Jakobsson's late challenge caught a North Town United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Jakobsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes North Town United got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Alberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Pettersson in the 13th minute of play forced North Town United's goalkeeper Joacim Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Edvin Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim Bäckström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Huaröd IFK's Bo Pettersson got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Magne Valler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Karl-Magnus Eliasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magne Valler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Edvin Mårtensson came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Huaröd IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvin Mårtensson couldn't finish the play. If Bo Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The nice shot from Magne Valler in the 37thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Karl-Magnus Eliasson had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 43 minutes of play, North Town United's Magne Valler made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Magnus Eliasson was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bo Pettersson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jonatan Glad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Magne Valler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvin Mårtensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joacim Bäckström having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in North Town United's zone, Bo Pettersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joacim Bäckström came out of the goal and Bo Pettersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvin Mårtensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bo Pettersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joacim Bäckström having to interfere. When Huaröd IFK's Bo Pettersson in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye North Town United's goalie prevented a goal. If Folke Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 minutes Huaröd IFK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sakarias Salkvist who took care of the corner kick. In the 95th minute of the match North Town United got a corner. Huaröd IFK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sakarias Salkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Huaröd IFK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sakarias Salkvist was slow to take the kick. During this time North Town United's players had a chance to rest. North Town United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Huaröd IFK for a fine match.
