North Town United's Joacim Bäckström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save North Town United from getting a goal against them. Folke Giöck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonatan Glad kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Magne Valler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Alfred Modig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Folke Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Folke Mattsson in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Modig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 24 minutes, Folke Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Town United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Folke Mattsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrik Alberg kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Göran Björkkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joacim Bäckström having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Tollered FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of North Town United:s goal. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for North Town United. Sakarias Salkvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alfred Modig. 0-1. Göran Björkkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joacim Bäckström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folke Mattsson to make the kick off. Ernst Apelqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Folke Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. North Town United's Joacim Bäckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Giöck in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Tollered FK booed when North Town United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Larsfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Tollered FK's Stig-Arne Lustig tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Simon Hake's late challenge caught a Tollered FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Hake helped the player get up and apologised. Joacim Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Björkkvist in the 63rd minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Tollered FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Abrahamsson to maneuver through the defense. If Magne Valler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magne Valler struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Alfred Modig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Town United. 93 minutes into the game, Göran Björkkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Joacim Bäckström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
