When Hjalmar Bremming came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Sommen IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hjalmar Bremming couldn't finish the play. After having played for 15 minutes, Wilhelm Nyström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sommen IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Nyström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Sommen IFK's Wilhelm Nyström in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Christer Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Springfält in the 27th minute of the match. After 42 minutes of play, Västerljung's Göran Springfält made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christer Ström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilhelm Nyström was the one to do the kick off. Hjalmar Bremming sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Alvin Lindberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Christer Ström to make any attempt to save it. In the 77thth minute of the game Wilhelm Nyström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Västerljung's Arman Allbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Sommen IFK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jan-Ove Abrahamsson hit a great ball. Wilhelm Nyström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Arman Allbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Västerljung had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
