Hamra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Jespersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Gunnarsson in the 21st minute of play forced Hamra's goalkeeper Emanuel Vik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Hamra's Erland Lindqvist threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Börje Jespersson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Börje Jespersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erland Lindqvist having to interfere.
