Erland Lindqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Sikström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Björkqvist in the 7th minute of play forced Liden's goalkeeper Konrad Hedbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Gunnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Erland Lindqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörn Håkansson. The audience was convinced that Albert Björkqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konrad Hedbom was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. A collision led to Liden getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hugo Ingvall hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Erik Åkesson to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Liden defense, Peter Törnkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Konrad Hedbom. The Liden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Konrad Hedbom should have stopped the shot. After 29 played minutes Sundborn IF got a freekick which was hit by Peter Törnkvist. Roger Sikström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erland Lindqvist having to interfere. Sundborn IF's Erland Lindqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Sundborn IF from getting a goal against them. Konrad Hedbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Gunnarsson in the 41st minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Sundborn IF's Albert Björkqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Konrad Hedbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

After having played for 58 minutes, Peter Törnkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sundborn IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Törnkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Albert Björkqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Konrad Hedbom. That made the score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play. Robert Gunnarsson in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Konrad Hedbom, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 75th minute Albert Björkqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konrad Hedbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Gunnarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Hedbom having to interfere. Sundborn IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
