The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 4 minutes on the clock, Allan Bålström commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Silvio Eron had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Karl Hegg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Marc Stålberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haumen BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Järpen the free kick. After a rather tough play, Haumen BK's Marc Stålberg got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute Tobias Lindsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Eron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Järpen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Olofsson to maneuver through the defense. Haumen BK's Folke Haglund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Haumen BK from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tobias Lindsten in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Eron saved Järpen from getting behind. In the 27th minute, Christian Hellkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stewart Sugden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Hellqvist in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Folke Haglund saved Haumen BK from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Martin Hellqvist made a precise shot to the right of Folke Haglund. Haumen BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 44th minute, Marc Stålberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stewart Sugden was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Christian Hellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haumen BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Hellkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stewart Sugden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Järpen's Oscar Torsberg got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Folke Haglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Tönnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Viktor Tönnberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Folke Haglund having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Haumen BK's zone, Stewart Sugden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Haglund came out of the goal and Stewart Sugden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stewart Sugden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Stewart Sugden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Folke Haglund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silvio Eron made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Leif Wallmark sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Marc Stålberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvio Eron was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There was no doubt that Järpen were the better team. Järpen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
