When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Stewart Sugden took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kurt Hermansson to make any attempt to save it. Kurt Hermansson made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Stewart Sugden sent off a good shot on target. Kurt Hermansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Sugden, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Hällefors's Ulf Nilsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Eron narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oscar Torsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Oscar Torsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hällefors's Kurt Hermansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Torsberg in the 33rd minute of play. Stewart Sugden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Hermansson having to interfere.

If Stewart Sugden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Hermansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Torsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Järpen booed when Hällefors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Sörman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Torsberg in the 74th minute of play forced Hällefors's goalkeeper Kurt Hermansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Oscar Torsberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurt Hermansson was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. When Bengt Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Järpen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Olofsson couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stewart Sugden in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Hermansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bengt Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Järpen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
