The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lennart Salkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Oskar Kellbom having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tvärred's Per Brander got a free kick in the 5th minute. A hard shot by Kent Nordin from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Nils Strömqvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Folke Käcker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils Strömqvist having to make a save. When Lennart Salkvist came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Kusmark IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lennart Salkvist couldn't finish the play. Kusmark IFK's Ingvar Waller got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute of the match Matthias Vester sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Oskar Kellbom skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Ingvar Waller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Oskar Kellbom was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Per-Oskar Kellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Waller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lennart Salkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tvärred's Anton Svensson got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ingvar Waller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Lennart Salkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Per-Oskar Kellbom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingvar Waller made a kick off. After 56 played minutes Ingvar Waller rounded Tvärred's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. After a rather tough play, Tvärred's Per Brander got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Ingvar Waller struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Per-Oskar Kellbom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kusmark IFK. Ingvar Waller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Tvärred's Per-Oskar Kellbom got control of the ball when Lennart Salkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anton Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Nils Strömqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute of the match Aleksander Winszman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nils Strömqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olov Biörkquist during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Kusmark IFK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Olov Biörkquist hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, Egil Sundin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tvärred's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kusmark IFK the free kick. The supporters of Kusmark IFK booed when Tvärred was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egil Sundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Folke Käcker struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Nils Strömqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tvärred. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kusmark IFK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
