The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Ove Månsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kalvträsk BK booed when Torsåker IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Ove Månsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A wasted opportunity for Torsåker IK. When Calle Pihlwall fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kalvträsk BK's protests and gave Calle Pihlwall a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Torsåker IK booed when Kalvträsk BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calle Pihlwall didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Nils-Erik Säv managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torsåker IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils-Erik Säv was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Inge Nordal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inge Nordal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilgot Boberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd match minute, Kalvträsk BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calle Pihlwall to maneuver through the defense. When Torsåker IK's Nils-Erik Säv in 55 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Erik Magnusson guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Inge Nordal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Vilgot Boberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kenneth Wallander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalvträsk BK's Calle Pihlwall got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Calle Pihlwall off the ground. A collision led to Kalvträsk BK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Calle Pihlwall hit a great ball. Nils-Erik Säv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Magnusson having to interfere. When Kenneth Wallander came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Torsåker IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Wallander couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Erik Säv in the 80th minute of play forced Kalvträsk BK's goalkeeper Erik Magnusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nils-Erik Säv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the game, Edwin Beckeman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torsåker IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kalvträsk BK the free kick. After some careless play in the Torsåker IK defense, Wilhelm Henriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vilgot Boberg. The Torsåker IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vilgot Boberg should have stopped the shot. Torsåker IK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
