In the 6th minute Christer Kilström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Gerdberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kosta booed when Rejmyre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Lindman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bror Tillman came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Rejmyre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bror Tillman couldn't finish the play. Christer Kilström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lars-Erik Gerdberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Hellbom in the 13th minute of play forced Rejmyre's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Gerdberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Bror Tillman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thomas Bröms was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lars-Erik Gerdberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Kilström, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the match, Rejmyre's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Hellbom came free, but Lars-Erik Gerdberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Kilström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars-Erik Gerdberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christer Kilström made a kick off. 51 minutes in the game, Christer Kilström fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lars-Erik Gerdberg having to interfere. The Kosta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
