Vidar Bergqvist's late challenge caught a Kalix FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vidar Bergqvist helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Degerfors's Vidar Bergqvist got a free kick in the 4th minute. Andreas Brolin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Joakim Lind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bror Waller in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Brolin saved Kalix FK from getting behind. When Kalix FK's Christoffer Eliasson in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Degerfors's goalie prevented a goal. Bror Waller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Andreas Brolin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Kalix FK's goal looked a bit too open when Bror Waller came free, but Andreas Brolin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douglas Kollberg came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Kalix FK's Viktor Wik. But to his dismay, Viktor Wik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Douglas Kollberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Wik in the 38th minute of the match. Joakim Lind blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andreas Brolin having to make a save. Joakim Lind in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andreas Brolin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bror Waller in the 46th minute of play forced Kalix FK's goalkeeper Andreas Brolin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Christoffer Eliasson made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Degerfors's goalkeeper Douglas Kollberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Kalix FK's Christoffer Eliasson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Douglas Kollberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 68 minutes, Bror Waller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Degerfors and the Kalix FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kalix FK booed when Degerfors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Waller didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Kalix FK's Marc Vacker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Douglas Kollberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christoffer Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Degerfors's goalkeeper Douglas Kollberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viktor Wik. In the 87th minute, Joakim Lind left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Degerfors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
