The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl-Erik Grönlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robin Säfström's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. A hard shot 10 in the game by David Dalgren from a close distance when the talented Karl-Erik Grönlund managed to make a qualified save. Lidingö's players were relieved. Karl-Erik Grönlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Säfström, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 21st minute, David Dalgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vallhamn FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. David Dalgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per Felin scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Börje Näver, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Dalgren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Karl-Erik Grönlund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Robin Säfström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Robin Säfström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Vallhamn FK's Robin Säfström fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, David Dalgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vallhamn FK's supporters rose to their feet, but David Dalgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Erik Grönlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Robin Säfström made the kick off in the second half. Lidingö's Jesper Nordlund suffered a concussion after 50 minutes and had to leave the field. 51 minutes into the game, Jonatan Christoffersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vallhamn FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lidingö the free kick. After a rather tough play, Vallhamn FK's Jonatan Christoffersson got a free kick in the 51st minute. Robert Forsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Börje Näver made a huge save. Bernt Knutsson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Robin Säfström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Karl-Erik Grönlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game David Dalgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lidingö's Karl-Erik Grönlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Robert Forsberg came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Lidingö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Forsberg couldn't finish the play. Karl-Erik Grönlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Säfström in the 64th minute of the match. Karl-Erik Grönlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Dalgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lidingö's Karl-Erik Grönlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Dalgren in the 68th minute of play. David Dalgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Erik Grönlund having to make a save. Alvar Malmgren hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Karl-Erik Grönlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Dalgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Per Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Alebäck in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Erik Grönlund saved Lidingö from getting behind. Vallhamn FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arman Bergfeldt in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vallhamn FK had won after a very even match.
