Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Pilblad kicked off to start the match. Sonny Holmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Bergren having to interfere. Otto Åkesson charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otto Åkesson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Vara got a freekick which was hit by Otto Åkesson. Sonny Holmberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lennart Bergren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Axel Pilblad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Pilblad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Jörn Melberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kolsva's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörn Melberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennart Bergren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 played minutes Vara got a freekick which was hit by Boris Ekström. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jörn Melberg to make the kick off. Sonny Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lennart Bergren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Axel Pilblad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vara's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Pilblad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Grönlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otto Åkesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Grönlund having to make a save. Vara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otto Åkesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Axel Pilblad came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Vara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Pilblad couldn't finish the play. Axel Pilblad was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 74th minute, Viktor Öberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Pilblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Grönlund having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Axel Pilblad fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Valentin Grönlund, passed just outside the right post. A hard shot 80 in the game by Otto Åkesson from a close distance when the talented Valentin Grönlund managed to make a qualified save. Kolsva's players were relieved. In the 84th minute, Otto Åkesson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Vara's Axel Pilblad got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axel Pilblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Grönlund having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Vara players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
