Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Filiph Fanström started the match with the kick off. Herbert Möller kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Thomas Backlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Erik Waller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Backlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Mariannelund's goalkeeper Joachim Pihl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo-Erik Jonsson. Joachim Pihl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Möller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joachim Pihl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herbert Möller's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herbert Möller was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Erik Waller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Valter Lönn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valter Lönn acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sven-Arne Vallin. Herbert Möller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herbert Möller in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joachim Pihl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erik Waller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Björk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Joachim Pihl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Lyckeby GOIF's Michel Björk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joachim Pihl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariannelund's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
