Jan-Ove Björkqvist started the match with the kick off. Tommy Tunström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Ove Björkqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Tunström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Ove Björkqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Knut Pihlwall might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aleksander Larsfelt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Knut Pihlwall ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Jan-Ove Björkqvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tommy Tunström to make any attempt to save it. In the 14th minute of the match, Jan-Ove Björkqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Tunström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jan-Ove Björkqvist didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 21st minute. Tryde FF's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Tommy Tunström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rikard Flinck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustav Petersson's late challenge caught a Ramsele's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustav Petersson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ramsele booed when Tryde FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Petersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tryde FF's Jan-Ove Björkqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rikard Flinck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Ove Björkqvist in the 34th minute of play forced Ramsele's goalkeeper Tommy Tunström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Tunström made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Rikard Flinck sent off a good shot on target. Bo Bergfelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Aleksander Larsfelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rikard Flinck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Tunström having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bo Bergfelt was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Tryde FF's Jan-Ove Björkqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Tunström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 53 minutes, Frank Sandberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ramsele and the Tryde FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Ramsele got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sandberg. Ramsele's Tommy Tunström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Ove Björkqvist in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Rikard Flinck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Tunström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ramsele's zone, Jan-Ove Björkqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Tunström came out of the goal and Jan-Ove Björkqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ramsele's goalkeeper Tommy Tunström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Knut Pihlwall kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Tommy Tunström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Ove Björkqvist in the 72nd minute of play. Aleksander Larsfelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Bergfelt in the 75th minute of play. Rikard Flinck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Tunström having to make a save. In the 92nd minute, Evert Bredberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
