But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Hedvall couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bengt Hedvall to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl-Ove Eklund was a little too slow when Bengt Hedvall got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-1. Charlie Sävström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Södernäs BK's Karl-Ove Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Hedvall in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Bengt Hedvall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Charlie Sävström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt Hedvall might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Ove Eklund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bengt Hedvall ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th match minute, Södernäs BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Kjellkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Bengt Hedvall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Ove Eklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigvard Martinsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Karl-Ove Eklund made a huge save. Kenny Brun's late challenge caught a Södernäs BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenny Brun helped the player get up and apologised. Kenny Brun hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
