Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ralf Siggman got the match started through his kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Väckelsång IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Friberger came free, but Jesper Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Väckelsång IFK booed when Aneby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Gråberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aneby's Jan-Olof Österlund got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Viktor Gråberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aneby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Väckelsång IFK the free kick. After 40 played minutes Aneby got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Gråberg. If Ralf Siggman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Friberger was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Siggman in the 51st minute of play forced Aneby's goalkeeper Per-Arne Ström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Jan-Olof Österlund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aneby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralf Siggman in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Arne Ström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wictor Åkerström got free with Per-Arne Ström in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
