The audience thought a goal was coming when Joar Hallgren got free with Gilbert Alströmer in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Barcelona's zone, Helge Dalkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Glad came out of the goal and Helge Dalkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joar Hallgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Alströmer made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Joar Hallgren sent off a good shot on target. IFK Barcelona's Folke Glad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvald Lundberg in the 27th minute of play. Joar Hallgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Gilbert Alströmer made a huge save. If Helge Dalkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Folke Glad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Dalkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilbert Alströmer made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Joar Hallgren sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Helge Dalkvist was the one to do the kick off. Evert Kaxe's late challenge caught a TRIUMF GLASS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert Kaxe helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of TRIUMF GLASS booed when IFK Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Kaxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvald Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Glad having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Erik Vennerlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, TRIUMF GLASS's Folke Glad threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Helge Dalkvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Folke Glad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvald Lundberg in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, August Hellström managed to get in a good position for a shot. TRIUMF GLASS's supporters rose to their feet, but August Hellström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Glad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
