When Hugo Skoglund came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Röstånga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Skoglund couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Erik Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvald Apelkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Hugo Skoglund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Röstånga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Skoglund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Börje Jonsson charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Börje Jonsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vallda IK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Börje Jonsson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vallda IK's zone, Hugo Skoglund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conny Lund came out of the goal and Hugo Skoglund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Röstånga booed when Vallda IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Ove Gulliksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conny Lund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Magnus Björkman in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Skoglund made a kick off. In the 81stth minute of the game Magnus Björkman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vallda IK's Conny Lund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hugo Skoglund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Skoglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Lund having to interfere. Conny Lund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magnus Björkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vallda IK's goalkeeper Conny Lund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Although Röstånga had been in control for most of the match, Vallda IK still came away with the win.
