Harry Tholsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaf Alströmmer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Karl-Johan Backlund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Gustaf Alströmmer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens-Åke Barck went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Jens-Åke Barck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Karl-Johan Backlund reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gustaf Alströmmer. The goal made the score 3-0. Gustaf Alströmmer was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Börje Ahlén capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Börje Ahlén really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. 29 minutes into the match, Rinkaby's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Johan Backlund came free, but Gustaf Alströmmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaf Alströmmer was a little too slow when Karl-Johan Backlund got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 5-0. If Karl-Johan Backlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Hultman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Rinkaby's goalkeeper Gustaf Alströmmer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens-Åke Barck. Rinkaby's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Karl-Johan Backlund scored to the left of an out of position Gustaf Alströmmer, making the score, 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Johan Backlund to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Rinkaby's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Ahlén came free, but Gustaf Alströmmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivar Blomquist kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Eric Stenström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Boström having to interfere. A collision led to Rinkaby getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jörgen Drewitz hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Rinkaby's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Johan Backlund came free, but Gustaf Alströmmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rinkaby's Gustaf Alströmmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Åke Barck in the 65th minute of play. Börje Ahlén took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustaf Alströmmer. Gustaf Alströmmer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Gustaf Alströmmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Johan Backlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Karl-Johan Backlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Målles Mål's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Johan Backlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustaf Alströmmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustaf Alströmmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Åke Barck, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rinkaby's goalkeeper Gustaf Alströmmer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Börje Ahlén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl-Johan Backlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gustaf Alströmmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Johan Backlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaf Alströmmer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Johan Backlund ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustaf Alströmmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Johan Backlund's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Gustaf Alströmmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Johan Backlund in the 87th minute of the match. Gustaf Alströmmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Åke Barck in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, David Hultman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Karl-Johan Backlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Jens-Åke Barck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Målles Mål's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Åke Barck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustaf Alströmmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Johan Backlund in the 95th minute of play. David Hultman charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Hultman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Rinkaby got a freekick which was hit by David Hultman. After having played for 97 minutes, Karl-Johan Backlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Målles Mål's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Johan Backlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Målles Mål players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
