Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Bo Grönberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ulf Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Grönberg in the 3rd minute of play. If Gösta Ahlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 minutes, Bertil Lindqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bananboll BK and the Linköping United players grew even worse after the yellow card. 7 minutes into the game, one of Bananboll BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 16 minutes into the match, Bananboll BK's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Grönberg came free, but Ulf Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Joacim Ålberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköping United's Victor Häger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patrik Pilblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Häger having to interfere. Jon Rudkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Joacim Ålberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bananboll BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joacim Ålberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Patrik Pilblad came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Bananboll BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrik Pilblad couldn't finish the play. Gösta Ahlgren scored 0-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulf Norberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Bo Grönberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gösta Ahlgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ulf Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-2 became the score in the 44th minute when Gösta Ahlgren elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joacim Ålberg to make the kick off. Bo Grönberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bananboll BK's Ulf Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Grönberg in the 58th minute of play. Ulf Norberg made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gösta Ahlgren sent off a good shot on target. Bo Grönberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Norberg having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Emanuel Thedin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bananboll BK and the Linköping United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Bananboll BK got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Thedin. Ulf Norberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo Grönberg's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. If Patrik Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bananboll BK's Joacim Ålberg got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Häger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joacim Ålberg went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Gösta Ahlgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Ulf Norberg made a huge save. Ulf Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Grönberg in the 82nd minute of the match. Bananboll BK's Ulf Norberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Bananboll BK from getting a goal against them. Victor Häger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joacim Ålberg in the 88th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Joacim Ålberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Häger was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Joacim Ålberg struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Victor Häger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bananboll BK. The Linköping United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
