Hampus Örtendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Torsten Edström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kent Wassenius to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Mölnlycke BK's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Wassenius came free, but Pontus Beckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kent Wassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Beckström having to interfere. Mölnlycke BK's Pontus Beckström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Mölnlycke BK from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Kuse struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Sven Bruhn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mölnlycke BK. In the 77th minute, Leif Axelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kent Wassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Beckström having to interfere. Torsten Edström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Pontus Beckström made a huge save. Mölnlycke BK's Sebastian Kuse got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sävedalen's zone, Hampus Örtendahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Bruhn came out of the goal and Hampus Örtendahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
