After 3 minutes, Herman Rosen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rinkaby FF and the Wienerbrö FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Herman Rosen hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Håkan Säv could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Kristoffer Falkrans made a huge save. When Håkan Säv came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Wienerbrö FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Håkan Säv couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, one of Wienerbrö FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wienerbrö FC. 15 minutes into the match, Wienerbrö FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elof Tönnberg came free, but Peter Gustafsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rinkaby FF's Brian Alén got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wienerbrö FC's Peter Gustafsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Alén in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Wienerbrö FC booed when Rinkaby FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Sundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Martin Landin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wienerbrö FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Landin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elof Tönnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Alén took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Gustafsson. Peter Gustafsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Landin to strike the kick off in the second half. If Elof Tönnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Gustafsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elof Tönnberg in the 59th minute of the match. When Martin Landin came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Wienerbrö FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Landin couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Elof Tönnberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joar Billock's late challenge caught a Rinkaby FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
