Lenhovda FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vännäs BF the free kick. In the 16th match minute, Lenhovda FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ove Kämpe to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Erik Blixt struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Wilhelm Valler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lenhovda FF. Lenhovda FF's Ture Vacker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Edström in the 29th minute of play. Elias Molin struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ture Vacker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vännäs BF. If Elias Molin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Molin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Lenhovda FF's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Edström came free, but Ture Vacker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilhelm Valler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Blixt in the 44th minute of the match. If Gunnar Pihlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Erik Blixt to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Lenhovda FF's zone, Svante Edström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ture Vacker came out of the goal and Svante Edström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Svante Edström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ture Vacker. That made the score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. Vännäs BF's Elias Molin got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lenhovda FF's Edvard Gallin got a free kick in the 65th minute. Yngve Berggren was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Lenhovda FF's Ture Vacker got control of the ball when Elias Molin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Edgar Nässén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Molin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ture Vacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Molin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Ture Vacker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ture Vacker was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Svante Edström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Svante Edström really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Svante Edström in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ture Vacker saved Lenhovda FF from getting behind. Vännäs BF's Wilhelm Valler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Nässén in the 90th minute of play. When Bengt-Åke Sandwall fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vännäs BF's protests and gave Bengt-Åke Sandwall a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lenhovda FF booed when Vännäs BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Åke Sandwall didn't get a good kick on the ball.
