When Torsten Vedholm came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Hammar FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Vedholm couldn't finish the play. Erland Berg charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erland Berg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Seglora's Erland Berg got a free kick in the 8th minute. Esbjörn Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Vedholm in the 10th minute of play. Esbjörn Engström made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Leonardo Nyström sent off a good shot on target. Oskar Ingvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Oscar Asserlindh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jens-Åke Abrahamsson came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Seglora fans jumped to their feet. In the 19th minute, one of Hammar FF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hammar FF. Torsten Vedholm's late challenge caught a Seglora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torsten Vedholm helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Hammar FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Lagerberg to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Asserlindh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Åke Abrahamsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Oskar Ingvall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hammar FF's Oscar Asserlindh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Åke Abrahamsson in the 33rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hammar FF's Leonardo Nyström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esbjörn Engström. That made the score 1-1 after 36 minutes of play. Oscar Asserlindh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskar Ingvall, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Jens-Åke Abrahamsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48thth minute of the game Jens-Åke Abrahamsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammar FF's Oscar Asserlindh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torsten Vedholm made a kick off. Hammar FF's Oscar Asserlindh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Olofsson in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 played minutes Seglora got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Sundberg. Esbjörn Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Vedholm in the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hammar FF's Peter Lagerberg got a free kick in the 60th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torsten Vedholm in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esbjörn Engström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jens-Åke Abrahamsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Asserlindh having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Hammar FF got a freekick which was hit by Eric Alegren. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Konrad Alströmmer during the 78th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
