Marcus Dahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Åke Larsfelt in the 4th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Dyrön IF's Marcus Dahlberg threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Per-Åke Larsfelt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Åke Larsfelt in the 10th minute of play forced Vemhån RK's goalkeeper Marcus Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Axel Rolfsson struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Jim Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vemhån RK. Dan Mossberg hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. If Per-Åke Larsfelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Axel Rolfsson struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Jim Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vemhån RK. 27 minutes into the match, Dyrön IF's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Axel Rolfsson came free, but Jim Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melker Påk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jim Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melker Påk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Rolfsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dyrön IF's Per-Åke Larsfelt got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Dahlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan Hellström in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Axel Rolfsson to make the kick off. Melker Påk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Vemhån RK getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dan Mossberg hit a great ball. If Melker Påk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Karl-Axel Rolfsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vemhån RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Axel Rolfsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute Per-Åke Larsfelt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Dahlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Hellström in the 94th minute of play forced Vemhån RK's goalkeeper Marcus Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Per-Åke Larsfelt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Dahlberg was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Vemhån RK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
