The tension between the Lofsdalen and the Ängelsberg IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ernst Björk was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dennis Lindblom. Nils-Erik Rydelius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ernst Björk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute of the match Dennis Lindblom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernst Björk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Nils-Erik Qvalfeldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lofsdalen's Ernst Björk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tage Nyberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Karlstedt in the 24th minute of the match. Fredric Karlstedt was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ängelsberg IFK's zone, Olof Back stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tage Nyberg came out of the goal and Olof Back tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd match minute, Ängelsberg IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Ove Skog to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Ängelsberg IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Back came free, but Tage Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lofsdalen's Fritz Lennartsson got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 minutes of play, Lofsdalen's Nils Pålsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tage Nyberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute, Olof Back got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils-Erik Rydelius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst Björk having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olof Back to make the kick off. Olof Back received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Tage Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tage Nyberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Björn Clementsson got free with Tage Nyberg in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lofsdalen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fritz Lennartsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Nils-Erik Rydelius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernst Björk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oskar Alström charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oskar Alström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 96 minutes into the match, Oskar Alström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernst Björk. Lofsdalen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oskar Alström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lofsdalen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
