A collision led to Lullo CF getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Stefan Tönnberg hit a great ball. Dan Söderqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Ingemarsson having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Lullo CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Tönnberg to maneuver through the defense. Fritz Vennerkvist, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Leonardo Ingemarsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Ekeroth in the 16th minute. A collision led to Gävle getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Pelle Månsson hit a great ball. Lullo CF's Harald Smitt got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonardo Ingemarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Söderqvist in the 25th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Lullo CF's Harald Smitt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Malte Björling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Malte Björling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Smitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some careless play in the Gävle defense, Fredrik Jernberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Malte Björling. The Gävle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Malte Björling should have stopped the shot. Fredrik Jernberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Malte Björling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Fredrik Jernberg made a precise shot to the right of Malte Björling. Gävle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Söderqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Malte Björling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Smitt in the 63rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kim Alegren during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gävle's Kim Alegren got a free kick in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harald Smitt in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Malte Björling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fredrik Jernberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malte Björling having to interfere. Harald Smitt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Malte Björling came out and tried to block the shot, but Harald Smitt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 68th minute. Fredrik Jernberg struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Malte Björling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lullo CF. If Harald Smitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Harald Smitt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Malte Björling was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 81st match minute, Gävle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pelle Månsson to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Lullo CF's Agne Zander broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gävle's zone, Harald Smitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malte Björling came out of the goal and Harald Smitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gävle getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Timmy Enegren hit a great ball.
