Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Tived FK. Karl-Åke Hedin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Stolpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Fågelfors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tived FK:s goal. Fågelfors's Tommy Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Löfgren in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josef Löfgren to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Jörgen Boman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Josef Löfgren came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Tived FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Löfgren couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Fågelfors's Tommy Eckegren got control of the ball when Birger Lagerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Falk hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The supporters of Fågelfors booed when Tived FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Löfgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birger Lagerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Eckegren having to interfere. If Jörgen Boman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Fågelfors's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Löfgren came free, but Tommy Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fågelfors's goalkeeper Tommy Eckegren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tived FK's Karl-Åke Hedin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Stolpe in the 99th minute of play. The Tived FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tived FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
