In the 4th minute, Kent Kjellkvist fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bengt-Rune Friberger, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Ekrot in the 5th minute of play forced Rydal FK's goalkeeper Bengt-Rune Friberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Kent Kjellkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hestra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Hestra getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Johannes Utter hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Verner Ekrot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute of the match Pelle Mårtensson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Helge Engström skillfully saved the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Kent Kjellkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bengt-Rune Friberger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kent Kjellkvist got free with Bengt-Rune Friberger in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bengt-Rune Friberger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 37th minute of the match, Verner Ekrot tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bengt-Rune Friberger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 43rd minute, Pelle Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hestra's Verner Ekrot got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Verner Ekrot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kjell Rolfsson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hjalmar Hellqvist during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rydal FK's Hjalmar Hellqvist got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Verner Ekrot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hestra's supporters rose to their feet, but Verner Ekrot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt-Rune Friberger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bengt-Rune Friberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Kjellkvist in the 60th minute of the match. Verner Ekrot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hestra's Kent Kjellkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 67 minutes, Kent Kjellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hestra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Kjellkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Verner Ekrot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bengt-Rune Friberger having to make a save. After 76 minutes, Vilgot Ivarsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hestra and the Rydal FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Hestra's Helge Engström got control of the ball when Ragnar Bruse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Verner Ekrot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Rune Friberger having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Verner Ekrot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hestra's supporters rose to their feet, but Verner Ekrot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rydal FK's Bengt-Rune Friberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Kjellkvist in the 94th minute of play. Hestra walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
