After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nässjö IF! When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Ragnar Bruse put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jimmie Hellqvist. Anton Nordin kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Sven-Edvin Petersson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimmie Hellqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 19th match minute, Nässjö IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Nordin to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nässjö IF's goalkeeper Jimmie Hellqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Lindberg during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aaron Lindberg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Rydal FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven-Edvin Petersson in the 42nd minute. Jimmie Hellqvist came out of the goal and Hugo Törnqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rydal FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Törnqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimmie Hellqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Rydal FK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ragnar Bruse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute Hugo Törnqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rydal FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragnar Bruse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rydal FK booed when Nässjö IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Mårtensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Rydal FK's Hugo Törnqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jimmie Hellqvist. Jimmie Hellqvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. When Hugo Törnqvist came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Rydal FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Törnqvist couldn't finish the play. When Hjalmar Hellqvist fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rydal FK's protests and gave Hjalmar Hellqvist a yellow card for diving instead. Hjalmar Hellqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Hjalmar Hellqvist was shown his second yellow card after 97 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 97th match minute, Rydal FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Hellqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute of the match Albin Björnberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt-Rune Friberger skillfully saved the ball.
