With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tord Lindblom in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Håkan Kiempe saved Hedenäset IFK from getting behind. Stellan Vennerdal kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Fred Bogren got in the 17th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Göran Brander handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Tord Lindblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Kiempe having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Erland Gummeson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hedenäset IFK and the Cali Dreams FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hedenäset IFK's Erland Gummeson got a free kick in the 21st minute. Håkan Kiempe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tord Lindblom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Cali Dreams FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Nordlander came free, but Göran Brander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Joakim Nordlander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göran Brander was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 35th match minute, Cali Dreams FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Mårtensson to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Thomas Åkesson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cali Dreams FC's Göran Brander didn't even have to move. Hedenäset IFK's Håkan Kiempe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Hedenäset IFK from getting a goal against them. When Erland Gummeson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. A collision led to Hedenäset IFK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Erland Gummeson hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tord Lindblom was the one to do the kick off. When Joakim Nordlander came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Hedenäset IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joakim Nordlander couldn't finish the play. Hedenäset IFK's Joakim Nordlander got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joakim Nordlander kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Tord Lindblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joakim Nordlander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Göran Brander having to make a save. When Filip Norberg fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cali Dreams FC's protests and gave Filip Norberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hedenäset IFK booed when Cali Dreams FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Norberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joakim Nordlander hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Tord Lindblom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cali Dreams FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tord Lindblom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Håkan Kiempe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Sundberg in the 89th minute of the match. If Niklas Sundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hedenäset IFK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
