When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gunnar Ferm sped through Mjöbäck's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Walter Caspersson. After 24 played minutes Mjöbäck got a freekick which was hit by Elof Ekgren. A collision led to Kusmark IK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Folke Abrahamsson hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Gunnar Ferm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walter Caspersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Walter Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Ferm, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With an all-out effort, Kusmark IK's Walter Caspersson threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gunnar Ferm, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 103 minutes Mjöbäck's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leif Bodin who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mjöbäck's goalie and right to Joacim Elg. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mjöbäck's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kusmark IK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
