Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nils Örtendahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Wästerberg in the 3rd minute of the match. Patric Wennerström took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils Örtendahl. Nils Örtendahl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bengt Valler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th match minute, Frösö IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthon Näfver to maneuver through the defense. Folke Forsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Rolf Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Jack Wästerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolf Sundström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Ove Vestlund in the 22nd minute of the match. Karl-Ove Vestlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Sundström having to interfere. Jack Wästerberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nils Örtendahl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jack Wästerberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Nils Örtendahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patric Wennerström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolf Sundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Ove Vestlund in the 37th minute of play. Folke Forsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rolf Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Patric Wennerström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils Örtendahl. Lyrestad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patric Wennerström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Lyrestad's Nils Örtendahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Wästerberg in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Frösö IF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jack Wästerberg made a kick off. Patric Wennerström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Örtendahl having to interfere. Rolf Sundström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Ove Vestlund's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Frösö IF's goal looked a bit too open when Bo-Erik Nordin came free, but Rolf Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Frösö IF defense, Karl-Ove Vestlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolf Sundström. The Frösö IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolf Sundström should have stopped the shot. After 68 minutes of play Frösö IF's Anthon Näfver was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Anthon Näfver kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Thomas Lindqvist, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Frösö IF getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Christer Öberg hit a great ball. Thomas Lindqvist was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rolf Sundström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Ove Vestlund went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Rolf Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Forsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Patric Wennerström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frösö IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Patric Wennerström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils Örtendahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Frösö IF booed when Lyrestad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Forsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
