The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sivert Boman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Forsell, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Ivar Forsell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Hök during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tobias Hök kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Sivert Boman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torgny Bållström in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand's Torgny Bållström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sivert Boman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torgny Bållström took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sivert Boman. Sivert Boman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jakob Månsson charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jakob Månsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Mellbystrand got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Månsson. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivar Forsell during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathias Kellberg to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Mellbystrand's Ola Käcker got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Mathias Kellberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torgny Bållström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Sivert Boman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Torgny Bållström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Sivert Boman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 65 minutes in the game, Ivar Forsell fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sivert Boman having to interfere. If Torgny Bållström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Forsell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Boman having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hällestad FF's Kjell Jakobsson got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand's Torgny Bållström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sivert Boman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mellbystrand's Torgny Bållström got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivar Forsell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sivert Boman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mellbystrand played a much better game than Hällestad FF and deserved their victory. The Hällestad FF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
