Folke Vibjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Alkvist having to interfere. Maximilian Glad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Maximilian Glad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gösta Alkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Nol IK booed when West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Igelström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximilian Glad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gösta Alkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximilian Glad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Folke Vibjörnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gösta Alkvist was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximilian Glad to strike the kick off in the second half. Maximilian Glad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Maximilian Glad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nol IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximilian Glad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gösta Alkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the match, West's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Vibjörnsson came free, but Gösta Alkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Ove Strömberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Biörkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximilian Glad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gösta Alkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Nol IK's Sven-Ove Strömberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Söderlund in the 69th minute of play. If Folke Vibjörnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Igelström during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, West was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Igelström to maneuver through the defense. After 76 played minutes West got a freekick which was hit by Olof Biörkman.
