If Börje Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute, Jörn Ödmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borgafjäll RK's goalkeeper Tomas Svanberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonatan Vacker struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Tomas Svanberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gulag. If William Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörn Ödmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomas Svanberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jörn Ödmann ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the game, Jörn Ödmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gulag's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borgafjäll RK the free kick. After 16 played minutes FC Gulag got a freekick which was hit by Jörn Ödmann. Jörn Ödmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tomas Svanberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borgafjäll RK's William Jonsson got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Borgafjäll RK's Ulf Beck threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Börje Persson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 29 minutes into the game, FC Gulag's Jonatan Vacker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas Svanberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ulf Beck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Persson in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of FC Gulag booed when Borgafjäll RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Jonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Svanberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Salkvist in the 38th minute of play. Ulf Beck made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Jonsson in the 41st minute. William Jonsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Borgafjäll RK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Gulag were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Börje Persson was the one to do the kick off. William Jonsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ulf Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Björn Abrahamsson during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Gulag getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Björn Abrahamsson hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, FC Gulag's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Persson came free, but Ulf Beck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jörn Ödmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvard Gunnarsson charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edvard Gunnarsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Borgafjäll RK's Edvard Gunnarsson got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Jonatan Vacker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Svanberg having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Jörn Ödmann fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Sixten Lundberg fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgafjäll RK's protests and gave Sixten Lundberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Gulag booed when Borgafjäll RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixten Lundberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Jonatan Vacker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Borgafjäll RK's Tomas Svanberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Ödmann in the 83rd minute of play. Ulf Beck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Jonsson in the 85th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes FC Gulag got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Kinnman. In the 94th match minute, FC Gulag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Abrahamsson to maneuver through the defense. The FC Gulag supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Gulag would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
