Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ralf Engström got the match started through his kick off. In the 18th match minute, Markaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rikard Pihlwall to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Ralf Engström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Markaryd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralf Engström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicklas Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rikard Pihlwall in the 24th minute of the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Östra Ljungby's goalkeeper Nicklas Wennerqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Olov Hultman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Markaryd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Östra Ljungby the free kick. Olov Hultman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Östra Ljungby's Brian Stor in action when he in the 37th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Markaryd's Robin Odén proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Markaryd from getting a goal against them. Robin Odén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Markaryd's zone, Christopher Snell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Odén came out of the goal and Christopher Snell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 53rd match minute, Markaryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Zachrisson to maneuver through the defense. Markaryd's Robin Odén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Bergman in the 61st minute of play. Börge Rosén who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Nicklas Wennerqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Börge Rosén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicklas Wennerqvist having to interfere. Nicklas Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Engström in the 66th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Börge Rosén put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nicklas Wennerqvist. 75 minutes into the match, Markaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Bergman came free, but Robin Odén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Börge Rosén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicklas Wennerqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Börge Rosén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicklas Wennerqvist having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Östra Ljungby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Stor to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Markaryd's Olov Hultman tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
