Gånghester RK's Karl Asklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Ekman in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Rydebäck getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Pål Vallman hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Rydebäck's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Pihlwall came free, but Niklas Wik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Igelström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Karl Asklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ture Ekman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Asklund came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Rydebäck's Dan Igelström. But to his dismay, Dan Igelström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ture Ekman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Karl Asklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Andy Pihlwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Wik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rydebäck's zone, Erik Stålberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Wik came out of the goal and Erik Stålberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Rydebäck booed when Gånghester RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Pihlwall didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Erik Stålberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Niklas Wik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ture Ekman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rydebäck's goalkeeper Niklas Wik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andy Pihlwall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Wik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Rydebäck's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Pihlwall came free, but Niklas Wik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Andy Pihlwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Stålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Rydebäck got a freekick which was hit by Pål Vallman. The supporters of Rydebäck booed when Gånghester RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Örnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gånghester RK's Karl Asklund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Gånghester RK from getting a goal against them. Karl Asklund made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Dan Igelström sent off a good shot on target. Andy Pihlwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Marcus Örnberg charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Örnberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Gånghester RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Örnberg to maneuver through the defense.
